About procurement

The Procurement team plays an important role in ensuring the purchases we make across the Group deliver best value in terms of cost and quality. They apply strategic sourcing processes to secure a broad range of goods and services, everything from stationery and design to major machinery and maintenance contracts.

As our Group continues to grow through the acquisition and creation of assets throughout our value chain, the Procurement team is leveraging our footprint to maximize our purchasing power. Additionally, the standardization of our procurement processes and procedures ensures we achieve efficiencies of scale and minimize our internal costs.

Areas of opportunity

  • Close liaison with internal departments on service and product needs.
  • Setting clear specification, standards and terms of agreement with suppliers and service providers.
  • Preparing bid process documentation, including Request for Information and Request for Proposal instructions.
  • Coordinating bid processes and review of bid information.
  • Working with legal teams to define supplier contracts.
  • Maintaining good supplier relationships to help ensure best value is consistently generated for the Group.
  • Setting and monitoring sustainability standards amongst suppliers.
  • Continuous improvement in socially and environmentally responsible purchasing decisions.

About you

  • You recognize how product knowledge and purchasing decisions help support our efficient and effective operations.
  • You have experience with purchasing products and services for major companies.
  • You have knowledge of supplier searches and bidding processes.
  • You understand how supplier contracts are defined and maintained.
  • You have a clear and thorough process for supplier search and selection, exploring all options and finding innovative solutions.
  • You have familiarity with sustainability issues and their importance to our business.
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • You are effective at disseminating purchasing principles and requirements.
  • You are skilled at reaching agreements with third-parties as well as internal business managers.
